Lutron is the system we recommend when someone wants lighting control that still works in ten years. It's a closed, purpose-built RF system rather than something riding on your Wi-Fi, which is why it keeps working when the internet doesn't.
Most smart lighting frustration comes from picking the wrong layer. Smart bulbs break the moment someone flips the wall switch off. Smart switches solve that, but only if the box has a neutral and the dimmer is matched to the load. We install at the switch, so the lights behave normally for anyone who doesn't care that the system is smart.
Caséta covers most homes and doesn't need a neutral wire, which matters in older Tinley Park and Oak Forest housing where the switch boxes often don't have one. RA2 Select is the step up for larger homes — more devices, keypads, and proper scene control across the whole house.

Common questions
Caséta or RA2 Select — which do I need?
Caséta suits most homes and is the easier system to live with. RA2 Select makes sense once you're past roughly 20 devices, or when you want keypads and whole-home scenes rather than app control.
Does Lutron need a neutral wire?
Caséta dimmers don't, which is what makes them workable in older homes. Some switches and other product lines do — we check the boxes before specifying anything.
Will it keep working if my internet goes down?
Yes. Lutron runs on its own RF protocol, so switches, Pico remotes and scenes all keep working. You lose remote access from outside the house, nothing more.
Can you integrate it with Sonos and my cameras?
Yes — we do that regularly. Lutron ties into Sonos, Apple Home, Alexa and Google Home, so a single scene can set lights and music together.
